Semesters at KLSD
When your child registers at Kimberly Lewis School of Dance you are committing to the
FULL SEMESTER. Upon Registering your child to Kimberly Lewis School of Dance you are
FINANCIALLY OBLIGATING yourself to pay for the FULL SEMESTER. NO REFUNDS will
be given mid-semester, for any reason.
Semester 1: August 10th 2009 - December 17th 2009
Semester 2: January 4th 2010 - May 27th 2010
There is NO dropping of classes during the semester. When registering, you are committed to the
FULL semester. If a student desires to ADD a class mid-semester, he/she will ONLY BE ABLE TO
DO SO: (1) IF THE CLASS HAS ROOM AVAILABLE; AND (2) YOU PAY THE TUITION
INCREASE PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE CLASS. KLSD makes every effort to properly
schedule classes and limit class sizes at the beginning of each semester, so unless your child enrolls in
a desired class at the beginning of the semester, there is no guarantee he/she will be able to join the
class mid-semester.

Class Placement
Class placement will be determined by the criteria set forth by KLSD staff. The criteria have been
developed to allow each student to achieve the most success possible in skill development. Teachers
are aware of the criteria and qualified to place students accordingly.

Absences & Holiday Policy
Any student who misses a class due to illness, personal absence, or a studio holiday (other than fall,
winter, spring or Easter break) may attend a different class as a make-up student. You may choose
any class that matches the Student’s age and level. NO refunds or credits will be given under any
circumstances for missed classes. NO EXCEPTIONS! Students must check in at the front desk
when attending a make-up class. No make-up classes for fall, winter, Easter, or spring break. MISSED
CLASSES MUST BE MADE UP WITHIN 30 DAYS.

Production
A “Production Packet” will be emailed out the first week of January 2010. This packet will contain
VERY IMPORTANT information pertaining to our production process. It is extremely important
this information is read thoroughly. Performing in our production is a personal commitment. There
are extra expenses involved. During the week of our show there will be several MANDATORY
rehearsals. That is why it is so important to read the production material thoroughly and make the
decision that will be right for you.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are available to specialize or improve in different areas (please see individual teacher
for their pricing, details, and scheduling).

Miscellaneous
KLSD requires having your email address in our contact list so we can email information regarding
dance, monthly statements and monthly newsletters. Please take time to read emails thoroughly and
add any new dates / information to your calendar at home. Information and KLSD Newsletters are
also available at the front desk.

Insurance
It is required that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies. If injury occurs it is
understood that the students own policy is your only source of reimbursement.

Registration & Tuition Information
A registration fee and the first month’s tuition are due upon registration at Kimberly Lewis School
of Dance. Please choose classes carefully as there will be NO Refunds or Credits. Tuition may not
be carried to the next month. Kimberly Lewis School of Dance Registration policy: Registration
for dance at Kimberly Lewis School of Dance is by semester (not month to month). 1st Semester:
August 10th 2009 – December 17th 2009. 2nd Semester: January 4th 2010 – May 27th 2010. NO
DROPPING OF CLASSES ONCE REGISTERED.

Payment Options
Option #1: Pay for both semesters IN FULL by July 10th 2009 to receive a 10% discount (no refund
ONCE paid)
Option #2: Pay for 1st semester IN FULL by July 10th 2009 to receive a 3% discount and Pay for
2nd semester by December17th, 2009 to receive a 3% discount. Note: Credit or debit card must be
on file and parent agrees to these terms and charge dates set forth.
Option #3: Pay on the first of each month during Semester 1 (August, September, October,
November, December) & Semester 2 ( January, February, March, April and May). Upon registering
your child you are FINANCIALLY OBLIGATED to pay for the FULL SEMESTER. Note: Credit
or debit card payments ONLY (no checks or cash). Credit or debit cards are required to be on file
and parent agrees to have their card charged on the first of each and every month during the semester
in which their child is registered.
Semester 1: August 10th 2009 – December 17th 2009
Semester 2: January 4th 2010 – May 27th 2010
NO CHECKS OR CASH PAYMENTS: All payments at KLSD will be done by auto payments
with a credit card or debit card. Parents will be given a credit card or debit card authorization form
to fill out and sign their signature to allow tuition to be charged to their credit card or debit card for
one of the three payment options. If credit card or debit card payment is denied, parent is responsible
for the full tuition plus a $25.00 late fee each month payment is not received.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
The following payments will also require payment by credit card or debit card (NO cash or checks):
Production fee, competition fees, national competition fees, convention fees, summer dance camp
tuition, summer intensive, master teacher classes, costume payments, dance boot camp, summer
dance programs, etc.
Monthly statements are emailed to you for your convenience.

Tuition Per Month, Per Family
1 Class per week (4 classes total in the month) $60.00 per month
2 Classes per week (8 classes total in the month) $110.00 per month
3 Classes per week (12 classes total in the month) $150.00 per month
4 Classes per week (16 classes total in the month) $175.00 per month
5 Classes per week (20 classes total in the month) $225.00 per month
6 Classes per week (24 classes total in the month) $240.00 per month
Tuition for the months of October, December and March will not be prorated. There are several
months during the year that include 5 weeks of classes at no additional charge.
Unlimited classes (1 child per month) $280.00
Unlimited classes (2 children per month) $330.00
Unlimited classes (3 children per month) $380.00
Additional Fees
Registration Fee: $50 per student (if student is registered before July 10th, 2009)
$60 per student (if student registers after July 10th, 2009)
Costumes: $140.00 per costume (due Jan. 11th, 2010)
Production Fee: $120.00 per family
